Well, isn’ this special.  On May 30th, I posted a story that hit all of thr major news outlets of an extraoridnary picture of and tribe member of a South American tribe member rearing back with a spear like weapon in his hand.  It was one of the most tribal pictures I have seen in some time.

Well, it turns out this was some sort of publicty stunt.  Mike Kromboltz writes on Yahoo Buzz that that evidently the government has known about this tribe for some time.  Evidently the photographer,José Carlos Meirelles, who took the pictures and the agency who released them were trying to ”call attention to the dangers the logging industry may have on the group”.

So, I was fooled, but the picture was still cool and I bet that tribe has no idea what the Internet is and what a Blog is.
