It is 12:00 AM EDT and there is no word from Cit about whether they intend to file a lawsuit to block the proposed merger of Wachovia and Wells Fargo and Wachovia.  Let’s hope that the FDIC has interviened and talked some sense into Citi.  Recent history has shown that usually by now there would be some word that there was a weekend deal in the works.  With that being said, we have also seen last minute deals being announced on Sunday evening or Monday morning.  There are a lot of blogs and news articles out there that say Citi has a good chance of being awarded an injunction or temporary restraining order.  Stay tuned.
